Saruman Lord of the Rings pewter 54mm figureSaruman was chief of the Istari or order of wizards in Middle-earth. He was also to become head of the White Council that was formed in response to the re-emergence of Sauron in the world. Gradually however, the wizard's love of power led him to to believe that he should find the One Ring for himself. He turned Isengard into a great fortress and recruited Dunlendings and orcs into his service. His plans were thwarted; at Helms deep his armys fought the Rohirrim whilst Ents put paid to his schemes at Orthanc. He also was responsible for the damage done to the Shire while the four famous Hobbits were returning after their victory. Grima Wormtongue was his servant until he went mad with rage and slew Saruman with a knife after Frodo defeated Saruman on his return home.

This miniature was designed by Chris Tubb, an internationally famous Miniature designer for over 20 years, most well know for his Lord of the Rings miniatures created for Mithril Miniatures.

Each figure is carefully researched to be faithful to J.R.R. Tolkien's original vision and painted by our experienced Irish artists here in Cork, Ireland to reflect that vision.

The miniatures are made of pewter and this figures height is 57mm from base to the top of it's head. Average range scale is 54mm.

Antique Finish means that the figure is polished first then undercoated in a black paint and that is skillfully rubbed off the highlights and left in the creases and depths so the miniature is brought into strong contrast. This is an excellant alternative to fully painted versions of the miniature.
