has produced people and items that are present in Middle-earth
that do not easily fall into any race.
In J. R. R. Tolkien's universe of Middle-earth,
Tom Bombadil is quite a mysterious figure. He lives a day's
journey away from the nearest settlement with his wife Goldberry,
known as the "Daughter of the River".
Gandalf calls Tom Bombadil the eldest being in
existence. He is master of his immediate domain and is immune
to the influence of the One Ring.
He saved the hobbits (Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin)
on 2 occassions, against Old Man Willow and also against the
trap laid by the Barrow-wights. He rides an old pony, that seems
highy intelligent, called Fatty Lumpkin.
Other items include the Pukle Men. Ancient
statues on the road to Dunharrow. The Pukel-men stood at each
turning of the zig-zag path leading up to the stronghold in
the valley of Harrowdale in the White Mountains.
The Pukel-men were carved of stone in the image
of short, squat Men sitting cross-legged with their arms folded
across their round bellies. They resembled the Druedain, or
Woses, who lived in the White Mountains in the First Age until
they were driven out by the wicked Men of the Mountains
Collect them all today and populate your collection
with these varied and interesting people and items.
