1993 Lord of the Rings Isildur™ Christmas Antique Finished Metal Miniature. This Christmas 54mm scale metal figure is antique finished. It was released in 1993 and is very collectible.

Isildur was the son of Elendil, the High King of Gondor and Arnor. Isildur and his brother Anarion jointly ruled Gondor in the South, while their father dwelled in the North. During the War of the Last Alliance, Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand, but he refused to destroy it. Isildur was later killed by Orcs and the Ring was lost in the Gladden Fields for nearly 2,500 years.

Antique finish means the metal figure is coated with a mix of black gloss paint and white spirits and the excess is wiped off with a cloth that has thinners on it, this results in a dark toned finish that accentuates the details. The figure is then hand polished.
Customer reviews
This item fills in one of the small gaps and maybe with a lot of more digging in the old archives, who know's what they'll find again.and made us diehard collectors raise again on our feets wich such a wonderful discovery.
This is a great early item and one of those you simply must have in the collection. Although the early Christmas items and some others are a little misty in the history of this range it brings a little more knowledge now about them. Lets hope on some more.
