I would like to visit your factory Saturday, Sunday or Monday, What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm during May, June, July and August As we are not open on Sunday, it would be better to visit us on Monday. You can see maps of how to get to us on www.princeaugust.ie/maps

I am a big tolkien fan and I am interested in getting into painting of such figures. Any suggestions on how I should get started would be helpful.

Our Painting Guide should help you. We also have excellent tutorials on our newsletters. Join and get them all free.

I would like moulds so I can cast my own figures and save money.

We can't sell Tolkien moulds as our licence does not permit it. However if you look at http://www.princeaugust.ie/faclassics and think of different colours for the wizards, wraiths, elves etc. - with a bit of adaption you may create what you want.

Also our NEW 32mm Fantasy Armies figures are even more detailed and easier to cast. They are available from Prince August.

Over the years my painting ability has improved drastically and I would like to re-paint my older figures. Is the metal you use able to withstand paintstripper or should I just paint over the old layers.

The best thing to clean off old figures is by using brush restorer. Hang your figure in a jam jar and give it a slight shake every so often. After a day or two all the paint should have softened enough to remove with a tooth brush.

I was just having a look at your site and have to ask where you get your information regarding the names of the Nine. Are they your own creation or is this from Tolkien because I have not come across them in other reference materials.

The names were taken form a book by Iron Crown Enterprises "Lords of Middle-earth Vol. 2 - The Mannish Races"
