The first MX figure was commissioned by Mike Murphy, a collector who has recently bought many of the 32mm figures on our site since he retired early 2 years ago. His son Fergus collected some of the earlier M's, but regretfully stopped collecting when he got married. Mike, who liked the Tolkien books, (read LOTR 4 times and The Hobbit 3 times), bought the collection of 52 figures off his son and started to collect from there. Not really a painter himself, he just likes to collect them and likes to display them in his living room. He has started the Silmarillion, and likes to listen to the Audio tapes when driving. He lives in Co. Wexford and has visited the factory last year and managed to acquire all the Christmas figures since 1994 when he signed up as a Fellowship member. He just recently upgraded to gold and although he has not posted yet he has found many of the threads most enjoyable. Now a gold status member he plans to make some suggestions himself. " I find that the (mithril's) figures have so much personality, my favourites are the hobbits, especailly the minor characters in the Shire. I also like the dragon box sets, my favourite being 'vengeance of smaug'. Its a great conversation starter when guests come around." |

| MX421 | Eotheod Ranger, Fram, son of Frumgar. SOLD OUT |
|
|
€29.99 | SOLD OUT |
During the Third Age, first mention of the Éothéod is when they migrated under their king Frumgar to the confined area between the rivers Langwell and Greylin, sources of the Great River Anduin, near where the Ered Mithrin met the Misty Mountains. They went that way after the fall of Angmar, away from the ravages of the Easterlings and Orcs. Some time later their king Fram, son of Frumgar, slew
the dragon Scatha,
in the Grey Mountains. Fram took the Dragon's treasure, which
angered the Dwarves, and there was enmity between the two peoples. The
Éothéod capital was named Framsburg in his honour. |
