Humans

Mithril has produced many of the noble Humans that inhabit Middle-earth, including famous personalities like Aragorn, Boromir, Faramir and King Theoden.

In J. R. R. Tolkien's universe of Middle-earth, Humans have a complex history and have had to constantly struggle against the evils that surround them. By the end of the Third Age, where the story of The Lord of the Rings begins, humans are the largest race in Middle-earth.

Gondor is the area close to Mordor and the humans there bare the brunt of the struggle against the might of Sauron. Denethor was the Steward of Gondor and his two sons, Boromir and Faramir play significant parts in the story of the One Ring.

There is also a neighbouring land of Rohan. It is inhabited by the Rohirrim, a people of herdsmen and farmers who are well-known for their horses and cavalry. They are allied to Gondor and come to their aid to break the siege of Minas Tirith, Gondor's capital, by the hordes of Mordor.

One of the most famous humans in the Lord of the Rings was Aragorn, also known as Strider. He is the last decendent of the king of Númenor, and due to that heritage, he lived far longer than a normal human. He took up his duty as Chieftain of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, and made friends with the wizard Gandalf. He fought the forces of Sauron for many years.

Collect them all today and populate your collection with these tough and determined people.

MS623 Lord of the Rings 'King Bladorthin™' Fellowship Figure.Little is known of Bladorthin, except that he was a king in the region of Middle-earth somewhere between Erebor and the sea of Rhun. He lived before the coming of Smaug (2770TA) and his name suggests that he ruled in the open steppelands, possibly at the confluence of the Celduin and Carnen rivers, a Northman outpost against the encroachments of the Easterlings. His dress and armour shows influences from both the Iron Hills Dwarves and the Easterlings themselves.

MS620 Lord of the Rings 'Rhudaur™ northern mercenary' Fellowship Figure. The easternmost of Arnor’s three successor states, Rhudaur was the poorest and most lawless. Hard against the realm of Angmar on its own northern marches, it became a battleground between Arthedain, Cardolan and the forces of the Witch-king. Its original Dunedain rulers were ousted by renegades and the land became a patchwork of factions and petty states, some in alliance with Angmar and some with the Dunedain kingdoms. This strife-torn land attracted many mercenaries and soldiers of fortune, hiring out their services to whoever promised the best rewards.

His meagre forces protected Gondor's southern flank by engaging the Corsair landing parties at the mouth of the Gilrain river, until relief arrived in the form of Aragorn and the army of the dead.
