LOTR Helm's
Deep ™ Gamling's Rally metal miniatures,
Helm's Deep was a fortress in Rohan that was supposed to be
impregnable when defended. During the war of the ring Saruman
put that myth to the test by sending a huge army of half-orcs
to destroy the men of Rohan.
Saruman created these new orcs to be stronger,
bigger and more resistant to sunlight than any orc previously.
They used the dark magic of Saruman to breach the outer wall
and the men of Rohan fought to drive these monsters back. Gamling
the old was originally put in charge of about 1000 men (mostly
old or very young) to defend Helm's Dike, the outer defences
of Helm's Deep.
