Painting Guide:

It is probably best to assemble this figure before painting.

Our painter gave this figure a dark red robe, and shaded the robe so it looked like the figure was seen in pale light. The skull face and ribs are given a bone effect using mixture of white 917 a wash of 875 dry brushed 937 and 918 and a little touch of 951. The cloak is given an overall coat of dark red 859 which is dry brushed with 814 and then 946 with a light wash of 950. The tops of the folds are then given broad highlights of 946, finishing with only the slightest traces of bright red 947 on the top of the sharpest edges of the folds. The holes in the sleeves are painted black to give the effect of depth. Old gold 878 is used to give highlight to the pattern on the front of the cloak, along with a simple pattern on the sleeves.

The gloves are painted dark grey 995 with a wash of black with a light decoration of old gold 878, which is also used for the crown. The waist cord is coloured red using 818.

The base is first given a coat of green grey 886 and then washed with mid grey 995 and the highlighted area with 886 and 951 to give an eerie stone effect.
